Contact & project inquiries
When you contact us by email or book a call, we use the details you provide to answer your inquiry and prepare a potential project.
We only process data that is required for contact, project initiation, operating this website and the optional live demo.

This website is hosted on Vercel. Technically necessary server data may be processed so that pages and API routes can be delivered.
This website loads Google Fonts. External scheduling links lead to Cal.com; the privacy information of the respective provider applies there.
The demo processes the request text you enter, a session ID and technical limits to prevent abuse. When the model connection is enabled, the text may be transmitted to the configured AI provider to generate the response.
When we provide you with a password-protected website draft, we record — for project follow-up — when the draft was opened, an approximate location (country/region/city derived from technical server information) and the browser and device type. An IP address is not stored in the process. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in following up on drafts we have sent out (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep this information only as long as it is required for project initiation.
As part of our client acquisition, we contact businesses by postal mail to present a non-binding website draft.
Data processed: company name, business address, publicly available contact details and information from the public Google Maps profile (e.g. industry, opening hours, website status).
Source of the data: exclusively public directories and Google Maps. No data is collected from non-public sources.
Purpose: a one-time postal contact presenting a website draft created free of charge. Any further processing only takes place if you signal interest.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Our legitimate interest is direct marketing to businesses in the course of commercial acquisition. We always weigh this against your interests deserving protection.
Storage period: until you object, but no longer than 6 months after the contact, provided no business relationship has been established.
Recipients: print and mailing service providers acting on behalf of Digitalschmiede (processors pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR). Data is not shared with third parties for their own purposes.
Your rights — in particular your right to object: you have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) and erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) of the data concerning you. In addition, you may object at any time (Art. 21 GDPR) — without giving reasons, informally by email or letter. After an objection we will no longer process your data for marketing purposes and will permanently remove you from our contact list. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (in Austria: Datenschutzbehörde, dsb.gv.at; in Germany: the competent state authority).
